Within three years of having begun his career in Chicago, he rose to a Vice President’s position, becoming number two in production. In 1974, Stephen went to Los Angeles and assumed leasing responsibilities for the then new 300,000 square foot CNA Building, leasing 100,000 square feet within one year in a soft market. In 1976, Stephen came to San Francisco to lease the 450,000 square foot China Basin Building, which he subsequently sold. In 1981, Stephen was promoted to Senior Vice President and became the manager, Office Properties Group. Stephen had been consistently one of the top producers with Rubloff, nationwide, and was involved in the representation of over 50 leases in 1983, transacting over 200,000 square feet. In 1984, Stephen received the Rubloff Nationwide Top Producer of the Year Award. In 1985 and 1986, Stephen’s main focus was the marketing of the Sohio Petroleum sublease at 50 Fremont Street, of 450,000 square feet. In 1990, Stephen became Managing Partner of one of the largest commercial real estate firm in Northern California, and opened the sixth office for BT Commercial in San Francisco. In 1992, Stephen completed the largest transaction in San Francisco, the Corporate Headquarters of Supercuts for 63,000 square feet. He joined Pacific Union/GMAC Commercial Brokerage as Managing Director in 2004. During 2004 and into 2005, Stephen was responsible for the sale of ten commercial buildings valued at $150,000,000. During 2006, Stephen closed in excess of $150,000,000 worth of buildings. In 2007, Stephen began working on the lease and sale of the 500 Airport Boulevard building. Additionally, he is working on several sales of very large commercial and multi-family portfolios.
