Doug Shaw is a Broker Associate with Pacific Union. He regularly represents buyers and sellers in the sale of residential, investment and commercial properties. He also represents commercial landlords and tenants.

Professional Experience. Doug started working full-time in real estate in 1984. For ten years he worked for Colonial Realty, joining Pacific Union in 1994. Previously, he worked as an architectural designer and a general contractor. He had a great deal of hands-on experience in the construction trades since high school as well as majoring in architecture throughout college. This background provides Doug with a knowledge that sets him apart from most real estate agents. It has allowed him to successfully oversee real estate transactions that range from residential condominiums to high rise development sites.

Generalist Approach. With an interest in a wide range of client needs and property types, Doug has represented buyers and sellers of condominiums, commercial buildings, vacant land and apartment buildings. He has represented numerous landlords and tenants in commercial lease transactions. While contract negotiations and disclosures are paramount aspects of his business, knowledge of construction, planning and building codes allows Doug to provide an extra level of knowledge to a buyer.
