In the office leasing arena, Dan is one of the few brokers who solely represents tenants. After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, Dan became a copywriter with J. Walter Thompson Advertising. In 1985, following his father’s path, he transitioned into a career in commercial real estate. Being a native San Franciscan, Dan brings a wealth of knowledge of the Bay Area, its buildings and players. Thirty percent of his career has been with Rubloff in San Francisco (at the time, Rubloff was the nation’s fifth largest, full-service real estate company). At Rubloff, Dan was the top producer for the commercial properties division from 1986 through 1989. Prompted by Rubloff’s decision to discontinue brokerage on the West Coast, Dan accepted the position as Managing Director for the office leasing and sales division of Pacific Union (the Bay Area’s largest full-service real estate company, and now a wholly-owned subsidiary of GMAC). In 2004, Dan was promoted to Executive Director in charge of all PUCB commecial agents (in addition to continuing his tenant representation and sales work). Dan has been the number one salesman for PUCB/GMAC for 17 of the past 19 years.
